Carol Hausser Bibler

Instructor in Drawing and Painting

“I believe that art can be learned and is not an endowment only granted to a few talented people.  Through disciplined study of traditional skills and craftsmanship, and a desire for excellence, students should finish a beginning course with solid foundational skills in drawing or painting.  I find it exciting to work with students on their way to pursuing their unique self-expression.”

Carol paints professionally under her maiden name, Carol Hausser, and has taught in the Art Program at Chemeketa for over thirty years as Carol Bibler. Her watercolor paintings are in the art collections of Microsoft, the State of Oregon % for Art, and Chemeketa Community College, as well as in private collections.  She has exhibited throughout the Pacific Northwest, including showing at the University of Oregon Art Museum, the Portland Art Museum, the Coos Bay Art Museum, and the Frye Art Museum in Seattle.  She was represented, for several years, by the Lynn McAllister Gallery in Seattle.  A recent large watercolor “Everybody’s Listening But You” is on exhibit, until June 2008, at the Salem Conference Center, where it was awarded a Recognition Award.
